As Heart of Harnett Playhouse’ Board of Directors, our goals are to showcase talents of youth and adults, involve community businesses, groups and individuals to help support cultural growth and contribute to the economic development of the local community by bringing art patrons to the Lillington area and enhance the theatre going experience of our community. Our Board is committed to artistic excellence and community pride and strives to conduct all programming in a fiscally responsible manner to uphold the trust of our sponsors and community. Here are the people that continually make that happen.
Joyce Gies, President- is an original Board member from the Heart of Harnett Playhouse’ inception in 2006. She is the resident Artistic Director and enjoys spending time with her theatre family. Her experience ranges from cinema to theatre. Check out your Robert Redford movies and you may catch a glimpse!
Brenda Langdon, Treasurer
Catherine Evans, Secretary - Theatre has always been her passion. Lillington has been home since she graduated from UNC Dental School in 1982. She has now retired from dentistry and looks forward to working at her hobbies of theatre, reading, enjoying her horses and traveling. Catherine also actively serves on North Carolina Theatres’ Board of Directors and has appeared in NCTs ‘Dreamgirls’ and ‘West Side Story’. She sits on the Development Committee where she is responsible for overseeing Grants.
Pat McKee – is retired from the Department of Public Health and now enjoys Red Hatters, Woodmen, Harnett High-Steppers and church activities at Woodside Methodist. She sits on the Development Committee and handles PlayGram® advertising.
Rachael Bradley Langdon – is an active Dance Mom and can usually be found at Dance EFX dance studio. Rachael performed in plays in high school, but was absent from the theater until joining the Heart of Harnett Playhouse. Rachael loves the arts, and is excited to expose her daughters to the theater. She is an avid photographer and almost always has her camera with her. Rachael is a graduate of UNC and a proud TarHeel! She sits on the Development Committee and handles PlayGram® advertising.
Ann Milton – No doubt you’ve seen Ann around town! She’s on Billboards, trucks, even the Remax hot air balloon! Ann has been seen on the Heart of Harnett stage most recently as Shelby in ‘Steel Magnolias’ and extends her knowledge and expertise in many aspects behind the scenes as well. Ann sits on the Development Committee and handles PlayGram® advertising.
Raymond Cole - is retired from the military. He is actively involved with his church and actively participates in church functions. Raymond sits on the Development Committee and handles PlayGram® advertising.
